In stark contrast to Samantha's game yesterday, tonight both teams played a very well executed game. The game started out as a pitchers duel and stayed that way most of the way through. The Cardinals made some rather uncharacteristic throwing errors that resulted in most of the runs that they gave up. They were patient with their bats in the final inning and managed to get some walks and a key hit to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 win. Very exciting win, and the best part was that they handed the Tigers only their second loss of the season (at least according to the kids).

    Tyler had a rough game at the plate, however. He struck out in his only two plate appearances, swinging at only two pitches and watching the important third strike go by each time. He also played 4 innings in right field, but didn't see any balls hit his way.
