The Peters Family held a reunion at Wilson Park in Deckerville on Sunday, September 19th. Drew had hockey that afternoon, so we were a couple of hours late in arriving. Although most of the attendees were distant relatives that I do not know well, we did get a chance to see some of my aunts and uncles. The kids enjoyed themselves, spending a lot of time running around the playground.

    The best part of the day, in my opinion, occurred moments before we left. Tyler had helped himself to a small plate of whip cream to eat. As he was eating he leaned over to his plate to lick some of the whip cream off of it. I was standing nearby, and seeing this scene I had an overwhelming urge come over me that I just couldn't overcome. I casually stuck my arm out to the plate and shoved it right into his face. With a face full of whip cream he had no idea who did it, but since Samantha was sitting next to him she bore the brunt of his blame by taking a face full herself. A little bit of a chase ensued, as Sam had no idea why she got hit. After a short while we got them settled down (they were having fun with it - nobody got too upset) and cleaned up. My only regret is that I didn't have the cameras out to take any pictures of them!
