After a week off thanks to the heavy rain we have experienced, Samantha's baseball team was finally able to play another game on Tuesday, May 18th. The time off must have done the kids some good, because the result of this game was a 13-8 win. Sam made some good plays at various positions in the field, including second base and catcher. She also had a few hits today, in addition into a strikeout. Going in to this game, Sam led the team with a .917 batting average! If she keeps this up, she should be a shoo-in for the All-Star game that she felt cheated out of last season (and she did just miss by a very close vote).
