Game 13

Home Up

Tyler's baseball team played one of their better games on Thursday, June 17th, getting a 7-5 win against a Mets team that had just beaten the first place Tigers two games in a row. Considering that we are in last place, this win was no small feat. We got some good defense in the field after a shaky first inning, and for the second game in a row the bats have really come around. Tyler didn't collect a hit, but he also didn't strike out looking today. His first at-bat resulted in a pop-fly out (I thought the 2nd basemen who caught it was going to miss, but he just managed to cradle it in his glove). He second at-bat was doomed by an early swing at a pitch over his head, which seemed to happen to a lot of our players today. He managed a couple of foul balls, but couldn't quite connect on the third strike. He didn't get a hit, but he did make progress. Hopefully some work over the weekend will pay off for the end of the season. Tyler played in center field today, and only had one ball hit to him. He made the throw into the infield, but didn't have a chance to get anybody out. Overall it was a good win for the boys, giving them something to build on for next year.

Tyler's Baseball - Game 13 vs. Mets

Tyler started the game in center field.

He didn't see much action today, fielding only one hit.

Tyler has had trouble laying off of the high pitches since coming back from his burn injury.

Tyler swung at a better pitch this time, but couldn't quite get the contact he needed for a base hit.

Elbows up, Tyler!
