As part of a fundraiser, Samantha's entire soccer league has the opportunity to run in the Applefest races (the distance depends on the age group, but the vast majority of teams run the 5K). This is Sam's first year participating in this event. While she didn't set any records with her time, she did a good job considering that this is the first time that she has ever ran a race beyond a quarter mile, such as those that she participates in at her schools field day!

    As you can see in the next image, Samantha ran her race in 40:32. This isn't too terrible for someone who has never ran a race anywhere close to this distance before! Great job, Sam!
