Snow Day!

Home Up

On Groundhog Day, February 2nd 2011, we had a severe snow fall (even though it wasn't quite as bad as had been predicted). It was bad enough that the kids didn't have school for two straight days, and both Tara & I got to stay home from work for one day. Although 12-18" were being predicted, we escaped with getting only about 10". Thankfully all of the freezing rain stayed well to our south! Here are a few pictures taken during the brief lull in the falling snow after Tara & I worked to clear the driveway. We had to plow once again later in the evening, as another 1-2" fell after I took these photos (or more accurately, started falling as I was taking these photos). Enjoy!

Snow Day - February 2nd, 2011

A look at our house after the driveway had been cleared.

Another look at our house.

Looking down our road. This was the second "burst" of snow after a brief period without any.

You can see how deep the snow was in our front yard based on the edge of the driveway.

The piles of snow at the end of the turnaround.

The piles of snow near the garage.

A look across the street as the snow falls.
