2012 Buick LaCrosse

Home Up

I picked up my second car of the year through the Ambassador Program, this time choosing a 2012 Buick LaCrosse. While the color wasn't what I would choose for my personal vehicle, I very much liked the car. As with all of the cars I have been able to borrow through this program, this was came fully loaded. Navigation system, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, dual pane sunroof, power rear sunshade, rear backup camera and alert system, blind spot warning in the rear view mirrors, dual screen entertainment system in the seatbacks for the kids, and much, much more. The more new cars I drive, the more I yearn to quit driving the 10 year old minivan that I currently call my daily driver. While there is only seating available for five, I would still consider this as a potential replacement vehicle because, as the kids get older, we seem to be doing less traveling together as a family. My only disappointment with this car had to do with the gas mileage - I averaged 24.1MPG over the course of the week, but I was hoping for more. We get a little over 22MPG in the van currently. I am assuming that this car had the V6 option (I couldn't find the window sticker to verify this) and not the 4 cylinder or the eAssist option.

Here is a look at the front three-quarter view of the Buick LaCrosse.

And the rear three-quarter view.

A look straight on, with the headlights on.

A look at the signature Buick portholes.

A look at the rear of the LaCrosse.

The drivers seat was comfortable, and all of the gauges were easily accessible.

A look at the entertainment system in the front seatbacks of the LaCrosse.

A look back at the rear seat...

...with the powered sunshade going up...

...and with the sunshade fully closed.

A look at the gauge cluster...

...and the navigation system and radio in the center console.

Another look at the center console.
