Game 3

Home Up

For a change I got to attend one of Samantha's indoor soccer games, this time a Tuesday game against another La Forza squad that is a year younger than her own team. Even though there is an age gap, I fully expected Sam and her teammates to lose this game - the team that they were going against won first place in their division during outdoor play, and Sam's team came in... well, I am almost certain it was last place.

Needless to say my prediction didn't come true, as Sam shut out the opposing team during her half of the game in net while her teammates scored three times to take a 3-0 lead into halftime. After half Sam came out aggressive on offense, despite feeling under the weather all day. She even had a really nice 30 foot kick at the goal that just clanged off the right goal post. That would have been her best goal by far, and one of the best I've seen at these indoor games. By the time the second half ended, the La Forza Ice girls had beaten the La Forza Earthquakes by a score of 5-0, giving the Ice their first victory of the indoor season!

Game 3 - vs. La Forza Earthquakes

Despite not feeling the greatest, Samantha started the game in goal today.

Sam played a strong game in net, stopping every shot that she faced. Here she is throwing the ball to a teammate after making a save.

Sam going down to make a save.

Sam kicking the ball away after another save.
