August 3rd, 2013

Before leaving for the parade this morning, Dad and I went on a walk with Samantha, Drew, and Jayden. Along the way we spotted this monarch butterfly, which Sam managed to pick up and carry back to the campsite.

Before the parade started we spotted a brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray in the parking lot of the grocery store. I handed Drew my camera so that he could go take a few photos. Here are the results...

Here is a look at the rear of the Corvette Stingray, including the controversial taillight arrangement.

And a side shot of the Corvette.

Finally, the moment had arrived. Time for the Deckerville Homecoming Parade!

As usual, the veterans marched to a standing ovation to begin the parade.

A tracked tractor. Say that 10 times fast!

A large John Deere tractor.

This nifty two-wheeled contraption used to be an old Oliver Superior Grain Drill. Obviously it has had some work done to it...
