Game 1

May 11th, 2013

The La Forza Ice girls had their first game at 10:45am for the Midland Invitational Tournament (M.I.T.). Samantha and her teammates came to this game ready to play, and after their last game, they opted to keep the pushing and shoving out of the game plan. That worked out well, as they cruised to a 1-0 lead at halftime on the strength of Samantha's goal early in the first half. Sam moved in to the net for the second half, and she managed to keep the opposition off the board. When the game ended, the girls had secured a 2-0 victory, giving them the early lead for first place in the tournament.

Sam watching her kick sail down the field as she stopped an opponents rush (and as you can see, the weather began to warm enough for her to shed her hat and gloves!).

...and then climbing on top of the ball to secure the save.
