Samantha started this game in net, and while she didn't
face an abundance of shots during the game she found herself struggling from
time to time. She allowed two goals, one of which was a direct kick from just
outside the goal box, and there wasn't much she could do to stop it. The second
one was a very soft goal, however, and I know that she can do better while
playing in net. She moved to the field in the second half, but instead of
playing offense she was placed on defense - a position she hasn't played much
during her time at La Forza. Thankfully it didn't matter, as her team coasted to
an easy 5-3 victory against the younger La Forza girls.
Game 3 - vs. La Forza Earthquakes

Early in the game Samantha faced a high arching shot that she
had to field like a pop fly...
|
|
... before leaping into the air to catch it...
|
|
...and cradle it safely in her arms.
|
|
Sam had to hurry up and get down to snare this ball.

When she wasn't facing any action, Sam wandered the field
directing her teammates.
|
|
Sam wound up giving up one of her goals on a close-to-the-net
direct kick that went over her and her teammates heads and into the
net.
