August 1st

After making the drive to the campground and doing a quick and easy setup of the camper, we decided to head out for dinner at Williams Inn in Harbor Beach. Here are some pictures that I took after our dinner.

We left the restaurant and we stopped at White Rock Park on our way back to the campground. Tara & I have been taking the kids to for quite some time (at least since 2006, based on the pictures that I found). Each time we stop we take pictures of the kids sitting on a downed tree. A couple of years ago someone decided to attempt to burn it, but we have managed to continue to utilize it for our family photos. At that same time the water level of Lake Huron was extremely low, and the kids were able to wade out 50-75 feet by walking across the rocks. This year the water was right up close to the tree that we use for our photos. Such a drastic change!
