September 1st

It is finally the day for us to make our annual trek across the Mackinac Bridge on foot for the Labor Day Bridge Walk. We started our walk around 8:30am this morning, and completed our walk in just about 90 minutes. I thought for a bit that we were going to make it before they closed it down to one lane, but we didn't quite make it. The weather was a little cool today, but it was really just about perfect for a nice brisk walk. Of course, when we were done with our "walk" we continued walking right to the bakery, where Mom was waiting for us so that we could indulge in our "reward donut"!
