Game 1

Due to my work schedule (along with Samantha's soccer practice), I was unable to attend the opening game of the Pepsi Challenge. Tara took in tonight's action against the Redford Royals, doing double duty - taking pictures while also attempting to send reports of the action to me. While the '04 Storm team wound up losing the game, she did report that it was a close game throughout, with the Storm hanging tough and providing themselves with a good opportunity to secure a victory. Drew had a good game today, getting a couple of shots on goal while also taking a penalty for roughing. Tara didn't think Drew even realized that he hit the kid, but Drew confirmed that he did know he hit him but didn't really think it was enough to warrant a penalty call. By the time the game ended the Storm had allowed two late goals, sealing their fate in a 3-0 shutout loss.
