Game 2

Home Up

March 7th, 2014

Today it was my turn to take in Drew's hockey game as Tara had volunteered to help out at the spring celebration at Samantha's school. I thought that I was going to be in for a great game, as things were looking good for the Storm team throughout the first period. The kids were hanging tough with the Warriors, holding them scoreless as they themselves managed to get some quality chances in the offensive zone. Unfortunately the Warriors scored a goal with a minute or so left in the period, and that seemed to open the floodgates. Although there was some exciting moments during the remainder of the game, it was all Warriors on the scoreboard as they cruised to an easy 7-0 victory. Once again Drew played well, moving all over the ice to help his teammates and gather in loose pucks. He had a couple of semi-breakaways as well, but he isn't quite fast enough at this point to capitalize on them. Hopefully we can get him some training over the summer so that those chances turn into goals for his team.
