Game 2

September 6th, 2014

The second game of the Petoskey Autumn Blast tournament took place about 4 hours after Samantha and her Michigan Impact teammates lost their first game in dramatic fashion, losing 3-2 despite holding a 2-1 lead late in the game. This game started in similar fashion, as the Impact girls struck first for the early 1-0 lead. Sam got to spend some time in goal, and although this isn't her favorite spot to be on the field, but she did her part to help her team maintain their lead by keeping every shot she faced out of the back of the net. She returned to the field later in the game, and once again she helped out by keeping the ball away from the opposition. Despite the nail-biting tension happening on the field, the girls remained calm and hung on to secure a 1-0 victory, their first of the tournament.
