October 25th, 2014

Here are a few miscellaneous photos taken while waiting between hockey games...

Misc. Sault Ste. Marie

The Museum Ship Valley Camp.

The Edison hydroelectric plant.

The old Edison sign.

Another look at the hydroelectric plant.

This was Pullar Stadium, home of Drew's final hockey game today (and also home of the Soo Eagles junior hockey team).

A final look at the hydroelectric plant, as the water rushes underneath.

After the final game of the day we returned to our hotel where the team was going to be doing some room to room trick-or-treating. Drew and Jayden took part in this activity before we decided to head out for dinner.

Ramada Plaza Ojibway

Drew brought his intended Halloween costume, but I forgot to grab his face paint, so that was pretty much ruled out. He wore his hockey uniform instead, while Jayden dressed up as a pirate in one of Sam's old costues.

The view from our hotel room.

Looking straight out our window.

And the view the opposite way up the street.

A group photo of the team (and siblings) following trick-or-treating in the hotel.

A goofy photo of the kids.

We decided to walk across the street to the Soo Locks before driving off to dinner. We lucked out and a ship happened to be in a lock during our time there.

Soo Locks

The St. Mary's Falls Canal sign at the entrance to the park.

The wind was blowing steady as we walked towards the locks.

Drew, Jayden, and Tara making their way to the viewing platform.

A look at the freighter Thunder Bay in the locks.

A look at the difference in water depth inside of an empty lock.

The front of the Thunder Bay.

A look at the opposite end of the locks.

Jay and Drew enjoying the sights.
