    Competitive travel soccer has wound down for the season as the girls faced off against their final opponent on home turf. The Falcons faced the girls from Winter Haven and dominated the game offensively. Within a few moments of the opening kickoff the Falcons had scored a goal. At that point the parents I sat near commented that our goalie may not see much action today. Moments later, Samantha secured an assist while setting up another Venice goal. Going into the second half the Falcons were up 2-0 and things started to heat up. The opponents started to use more bodily force and couldn't keep up with the fancy footwork our girls were using. Sam found herself with a slam to the back, which angered her and made her fight harder to ensure Winter Haven would not score this game. Moments later, another teammate scored a goal for the Falcons bringing the lead and final score to 3-0, wrapping up the season on a positive note!
