Game 1

Today's game represented the first game of the spring season for Drew and his Storm teammates. A lot of their offensive firepower from the regular season missed today's contest for a variety of reasons, and it showed on the ice. Combine that with the fact that many players were playing out of position (for coaching purposes - to get the kids used to playing elsewhere on the ice as needed), and today's game was a struggle from the opening faceoff. The team did manage to get some good looks at the net, but they couldn't squeak one past the Travelers goalie. Drew was one of the players who played "out of position" today, spending his time on defense (he has played a few games on defense, but it doesn't seem to be his instinctive position). He played OK overall, never really make any huge mental mistakes in his new spot, but like the rest of his team he had plenty to improve on based on today's contest. In the end, it was a total team effort (or lack of effort?) that led to a 15-0 shutout.

	The final score on the scoreboard was much kinder than the actual 15-0 score on the ice.
