Drew's 10th Birthday

Home Up

January 17th, 2015

Drew's birthday celebration is going to be a bit spread out this year, as other obligations are interfering with our plans to celebrate with family and friends. Tonight we headed to Red Robin to have a birthday dinner with him before heading home for some cake and ice cream. The pictures below are from our time singing "Happy Birthday" to him. Happy birthday Drew!

Finally, Drew's big day has arrived. Today was the day that Drew hit the big 1-0! Drew was treated to McDonalds for lunch (at his request), and then we had pizza for dinner. After dinner he was allowed to open his presents from Dad, Mom, Tyler, Samantha, and Jayden. He had previously received his gift from Grandpa Jerry & Grandma Gail (NHL '15 for the Xbox) and his gift from Grandpa Gary & Grandma Terry will come once they visit in a few weeks). He got a couple Lego sets, a new "Made in Detroit" t-shirt, and a "rink" for his mini hockey nets and sticks. He seemed pretty happy with all of his gifts, so I think that we nailed that aspect of his special day. Drew requested that his birthday cake be angel food cake, which is my favorite cake. After opening his gifts we sang "Happy Birthday" to Drew for the second time this year! Happy Birthday Drew!

Drew wasn't sure that this package wasn't garbage, but we assured him that it wasn't.

Drew was pretty pumped when he realized that it was a mini-stick hockey rink.
