July 30th, 2015

Today is the day - the day we send Tyler to Spain for three weeks to spend time and explore the country with Carlos and his family. Before the boys were scheduled to get on the plane we headed to downtown to do some exploring and sightseeing. What you see below are the pictures of our time in the city before saying goodbye...

Chicago, Illinois

We passed by Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, on our way into Chicago.

Tyler managed to take this selfie while in the car.

Drew in the back seat during the ride.

Carlos trying to avoid being photographed.

The tall building in this photo is Willis Tower (what used to be called the Sears Tower). At 108 stories tall the Willis Tower is the second tallest building in the United States.

A picture of several skyscrapers in Chicago. I later learned that Chicago has more skyscrapers 1,000 feet tall or higher than any other city in the country.

Although I am not a fan, I couldn't help but take a picture of Michael Jordan's Steakhouse when we passed by (I couldn't afford to go in the place!).

Another Chicago skyscraper.

Some of the artwork on the side of a building.

We parked right across the street from "Eataly".

Jayden, Samantha, Carlos, Tyler, and Drew posing with a giant Chicago Cubs shirt in the Under Armour store.

This screen showed changing videos overhead, including this lightning patter, inside the Under Armour store.

Looking up at another skyscraper.

This collection of basketballs and shoes formed a chandelier of sorts in the Nike store.

A silhouette of Michael Jordan's Jumpman logo inside the Nike store was actually...

...made out of shoes.

Jayden found herself a boyfriend...

...and made a new friend while in the Nike Store.

We passed over "Today's Chicago Woman Way" while wandering the Magnificent Mile.

Jay managed to find a castle to hang out in while visiting the Disney Store.
