Samantha and her Venice Falcons Soccer Club U16 teammates will be participating in the 2016 Best of the Bay Soccer Tournament on the weekend of April 1st-3rd. Check back here to find information for this tournament, including the game schedule, pictures, and game descriptions. As always, enjoy!

    Well, that was the original plan, anyway. The weather had other plans, forcing the cancellation of the tournament and the statement from the hosts below:

    "It's with great disappointment that we have been forced to cancel the tournament for this weekend. Although the rain didn't last too long it was very heavy and has left standing water on the fields at all three locations.

    Rescheduling the tournament will allow for all teams to get their full 3 games plus finals and allow our tournament staff to regroup and provide you the best possible tournament experience.

    We are proposing rescheduling the tournament for May 13-15, 2016. We have chosen these date because there are several other tournaments scheduled over the next few weeks in our area that some teams may already be attending plus Mother's Day weekend in early May."

    I have decided to post a couple pictures from the first game that they played anyway, since the team travelled all that way for a half of soccer before lightning cancelled everything. I will update the schedule below once the it is released by the organizers.

    True to their word, the tournament organizers were able to reschedule the tournament for the weekend of May 13-15. Samantha and her Venice Falcons teammates will play two games on Saturday, May 14th and, if all goes well, two more on the 15th.
