Game 1

The varsity soccer season finally kicked off for the Bronchos tonight as their preseason warm-up games and first regularly scheduled game were all cancelled due to the inclement weather. Unfortunately the team really could have used the experience playing together. Tonight's game was a learning experience and a struggle all around, as they failed to put forth much pressure in the offensive zone while consistently yielding to the Mott attack. Mott scored early and often in the first half, scoring 5 unanswered goals to take a big lead into halftime. Holly did seem to settle down in the second half, holding the Mott team off the board for a majority of the 40 minutes. It wasn't until late that Mott was able to break through once again, but they managed to do it just enough to end the game on a mercy with less than a minute left on the clock. Tough way to open the season, but things can only get better from here.
