Game 7

The Holly Bronchos girls were looking to get themselves back to .500 with a win in today's game against a physical Clio team. Thankfully the Holly girls were able to play through the physicality, controlling the action for the majority of the game. A misplay on the defensive end proved costly to the Bronchos as Clio was able to convert on their first chance to grab the early 1-0 lead. The Holly girls tried with all their might to even things up, but they weren't able to do so before halftime as they trailed going into the break.

Thankfully for the fans of the Bronchos girls the second half was all Holly until a late Clio surge. Holly found the back of the net with the game tying goal on a beautiful cross pass 12 minutes in, and then ten minutes later Samantha was able to set up her teammate with a pass that snuck through the defense and led to a breakaway that was converted into what turned out to be the game winning goal, giving the Bronchos a 2-1 lead. As I mentioned, Clio did their best to tie things up late, but strong defense and goalkeeping was shown by the Holly players, who were able to hold on to the victory.
