Game 2

This may have been one of the weirdest games that Samantha has played in during her entire soccer career. It started out with the opposing team being shorthanded, so the game got underway with 9 girls on the field for each team. Though this threw off their usual spacing, the Liverpool girls weren't bothered by shortage of teammates and grabbed the early lead. The Magic team evened things up a short while later after a high kick found it's way over the LFC keepers head. Partway through the first half another Magic player arrived, and the teams went from 9v9 to 10v10. The Liverpool girls found their groove with the extra player on the field, and they scored the next two goals to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.

The second half was all Liverpool, despite the girls only scoring once in the half. Darkness began to set in, and that slowed things down a bit. The girls hung on to their 4-1 lead to the final whistle.

Samantha was super aggressive today, driving to the net with the ball on multiple occasions, taking some good shots on goal (despite not scoring), and earning two assists on her teammates goals. This is the way I wish she would play more often...
