Game 2

After a closer than expected game earlier today, Samantha and her Liverpool FC teammates took the field under the dome at Oakland University to take on another Liverpool squad. For the first half things were tight, with action taking place at both ends of the pitch. Neither team was able to take advantage of their opportunities, however, and they entered halftime tie at zero goals apiece.

Based on their earlier second half comeback, the girls had high hopes for a repeat performance in this game. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, as a couple of well placed goals handed them a two goal deficit. Two more goals that were misplayed by the keeper gave the opposing Liverpool team a 4-0 lead that our girls were just not able to come close to matching, as they were shut out for the second straight half of play.
