Game 2

After a tough loss in yesterday's first game of the tournament, the Storm players were determined to come out strong today. This game was the second of the tournament against an Ohio team, though this one was a little fairer as it was an '05 team (as opposed to yesterday's '04-05 team). Things were looking good early on, as the good guys grabbed the early lead by scoring the first goal of the game midway through the period. They played hard at both ends and were able to carry that score to the end of the period.

Things were looking good in the second period too, as they once again opened the scoring, grabbing the 2-0 lead on a power play foal midway through. The momentum seemed to switch a bit at this point, though, as the Bowling Green team scored to make it a one goal game. They evened things up just over a minute later to even things up at two apiece. The 2-2 score held to the end of the period.

The third period was back and forth, with both teams getting chances and making good plays. The Storm team managed to get the puck past the goalkeeper, but it was waived off due to being played with a high stick, wiping the goal off the board. And that was it for scoring, as the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
