Game 2

The FireCats were on fire today, scoring early and often in today's first game, facing off against the team from Trenton. They jumped out to an early 2-0 lead not even halfway through the first period before Trenton finally broking through to narrow their deficit. Novi was able to score two more goals to widen their lead further at 4-1 heading into the second period.

Trenton scored less than 30 seconds in to grab the early momentum, but Novi was able to answer back a couple minutes later. With less than half of the period remaining Novi scored once more to make it a 6-2 score.

It seemed as though the Novi team eased up a bit in the final period, failing to score in the 15 minute frame. Trenton scored at the midway mark to make it a 6-3 game, but that as all that either team could muster. The victory moved the FireCats to 2-0 for the tournament, with a big game come up later this afternoon. Go FireCats!
