Game 3

The Novi FireCats faced off against the Ann Arbor Wolverines in tonight's contest, in a reunion of sorts for Drew, as a former teammate plays for the Wolverines. The two faced off in the playoffs back in February, with the Wolverines getting the better of Drew's Lapeer Storm teammates. He was definitely hoping for a better outcome in today's contest.

Drew's FireCats teammates were doing their best to help that happen, as they jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, which they carried to the end of the period. They added on another goal in the second to start the period before the Wolverines finally found an answer, making it a 5-1 game with less than a minute to go in the period. Despite the short period of time left, the FireCats weren't done, as they scored one more goal with less than 10 seconds remaining. The final period wasn't too exciting from a goal-scoring standpoint, as neither team was able to find the back of the net. The 6-1 victory gave Drew a bit of redemption for his last defeat at the hands of the Wolverines.
