Jayden's soccer team had their second game today, hoping for a better outcome than the season's first game. The game got off to the same kind of start today, as the majority of the game was played in the midfield, without either team getting a good look at the net. Thankfully the girls were able to break their scoreless streak with Jay's knock-in goal off of a teammate's shot early in the second period, giving them their first lead of the season as well. Unfortunately they allowed a goal before halftime, evening things up at 1-1. The third period was almost a duplicate of the first, with Jay's team grabbing the lead but handing it over before the whistle blew once again. Heading into the final frame 2-2, the girls put their best offensive unit on the field, and it paid off as they were able to grab the 3-2 lead. A couple of big saves by the keeper kept the opposition off the board, with the girls getting their first win of the season, 3-2. Way to go girls!
