Tonight marked the final matchup between the two Holly teams, facing off after a Holly 1 victory in the previous matchup. The Holly 1 Purple girls were looking to continue their undefeated season, and got off to a good start in the first inning, scoring the maximum 5 runs while not even getting out once. Unfortunately Holly 2 was up to the task, scoring their maximum 5 runs as well, the last two coming with two outs on the board. The rest of the game was all Purple, as they went on to score 2, 5, and 2 runs to open up a 14-5 lead all while keeping the Pink girls off the board. Jay worked her way through the infield today while on defense, playing every spot except second base, while also spending an inning in right field for good measure. She got to bat twice tonight, striking out swinging her first time, and drawing a walk during her second at-bat.
