Jayden and her Holly Purple teammates took the field for the last time in the regular season, facing off against the Lake Fenton 2 team in Holly. Things got off to a rough start tonight, as Lake Fenton managed to touch home five times in the first inning, hitting the maximum number of runs without a single out. It wasn't looking good for the Purple girls, as they got two outs before getting a single run. Thankfully the bats woke up and the team worked the pitches to draw some walks, and ended up scoring 5 runs of their own to tie things up. Holly switched to their ace pitcher in the second, she shut down the Lake Fenton bats. Holly had another strong inning in the second, again maxing out their runs. After drawing a walk in the first inning, Jay got hit in the hip by a pitch in the second, but toughed it out without a whimper, and eventually came around to score her second run of the game. That would be it for the offense, though, as both teams kept each other off the scoreboard the remainder of the game. The 10-5 final score gave Holly a perfect 14-0 record on the season. Way to go girls!
