Today the purple Holly girls took on the Fenton 3 team in Holly. The first inning went pretty much expected at this age group, as each team scored the maximum five runs each, mostly on walks. The game got more interesting the second inning, as Fenton grabbed the lead in their half by scoring two runs, but then held Holly off the scoreboard. Things went more in Holly's favor for the next two innings, as they kept Fenton from touching home plate while going on to score the max in each inning to grab a 15-7 lead. There was time left to start one more inning, despite the fact that Fenton wouldn't be able to score enough runs to win, so the fifth inning resulted in Fenton getting five runs while Holly didn't have to bat. The final score ended up being 15-12 in favor of the purple ladies, although it could have easily ended 15-7 too.
