Game 7

Today’s game was rescheduled due to a previous rain out game. The game began quite late while both teams waited for an umpire to arrive. When things finally began the inning, Holly faced off against Linden's pitcher and scored 5 runs – Jay saw the plate but in the end walked after four balls; with the maximum amount of runs allowed, the top of the inning came to an end. Holly put a young pitcher on the mound first, and is quite common she walked several girls, but Holly was able to limit Linden to two runs. Our next at-bats resulted in only a single run scored for Holly. In the second inning, Jay headed out to 1st base after sitting to start the game – she wasn’t feeling well and had a headache. We managed to hold Linden to a no-run inning; keeping the lead at 6-2 as we entered the third inning. Holly got things going at the plate, scoring the maximum 5 runs once again thanks to some timely walks and hits. Holly changed up pitchers for their half of the inning, and she struggled while allowing 5 runs. The fourth and final inning was a repeat of the third, as both teams managed to score the max. In the end, the Holly girls walked away with a 16-12 win this afternoon!
