Red Wings Fan Day

Home Up

March 21st, 2017

Thanks to Tara's willingness to stand in line at the Meijer store near her work after a long day, we were able to secure four passes to the Fan Day at Joe Louis Arena. Of course there was no way that we would be able to go as a family with only four passes, but it wouldn't have mattered much anyway, as the kids had activities going on anyway. The passes were mostly for our hockey lover Drew anyway, and as it was he was going to be missing a hockey tryout to attend the festivities in Detroit. Tyler and I wound up joining him for the experience as well, making for a fun boys night in the city.

Deep inside Joe Louis, in the tunnels headed to the locker room, hangs the street sign for the old Olympia Stadium.

The Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League logo is painted on the walls inside the building too.

Drew found Tara's favorite ex-Red Wing - Brendan Shanahan - painted on the wall.
