Star Party

October 21st, 2017

Tara and I took a short trip to Glen Arbor to celebrate our 20th anniversary by spending the late evening at the Sleeping Bear Dunes, which was celebrating its 47th Anniversary as a national lakeshore. This would be their final Star Party of the 2017. We were blessed with a clear sky, which presented us with a perfect opportunity to see the night sky, Jupiter, star clusters, nebulae, and distant galaxies. Although my pictures do not do it justice, it is truly amazing just how beautiful the stars are at night in northern Michigan.
