Game 11

Tonight's game was a rematch of an earlier contest between the Venice Indians and the Braden River Pirates, this time on the Braden River home field. The previous contest was close throughout with Venice eking out a 2-0 victory. At the start it didn't seem as though this one would be as close, as the Indians would score on their opening shot of the game, taking a 1-0 lead barely a minute into the contest. Braden River wasn't rattled, however, and they would flip the field and maintain possession of the ball for most of the first half. In fact, it was some quality Venice goalkeeping that kept them in the game, as they were outshot by the Pirates by a 5-4 margin in the half.

Venice would get on the board early once again in the second half, this time thanks to a converted penalty kick, making it a 2-0 game. They would add a third goal a little before the water break, heading into the final 20 minutes up 3-0. Braden River would once again control the ball near the end of the half, but they weren't able to score as the Venice defenders held them to just two shots on goal the entire second half.
