Today's second game pitted Drew and his Jr. Everblades teammates
Palm Beach Hawks. Once again, I wasn't able to attend the games
today, so I am only basing my recap on the score sheet that Tara
provided for me. The first period of this contest was extremely
close, with the two teams trading scoring chances. The bad news for
the Everblades is that it was the Hawks who got on the scoreboard
first, opening the scoring with just over a minute to play in the
period. Things fell apart in the second period, as the Hawks scored
2 goals less than a minute apart 3 minutes in. That seemed to bring
the Everblades down a bit after a playing a strong first period.
Aside from allowing an early third period goal to the Hawks, the
Everblades seemed to rebound a bit, holding them scoreless for the
final 13 minutes of action. Unfortunately they able to answer back,
and would fall by a 5-0 score. |
