Drew and his Holly Bronchos teammates finally got to face the
boys from Owosso today, after the original date had to be postponed
due to weather. For a quarter, it seemed as though they would have
been better off if this game was postponed as well, as they found
themselves down 14-6 when it was over. Drew finally got into the
game midway through the second quarter, with his team down 20-13. He
made some good defensive plays, and although he only secured one
rebound himself he was able to help his teammates grab a few others.
When he checked out with 30 seconds to play, the score was 25-19,
meaning his squad outscore Owosso 6-5. That score would remain until
halftime, as the Bronchos trailed by 6.
Drew didn't see much time in the third quarter, as he grabbed a
single rebound during his 56 seconds of playing time. The rest of
the team wasn't doing much either, as the Bronchos still trailed by
five after the quarter ended, by a 39-34 score.
The fourth quarter saw the Bronchos catch fire, as they found
their scoring touch, which led to a clampdown on the defensive end
as well. When the final buzzer sounded, the Bronchos had outscore
Owosso 14-6, giving them a 48-45 come from behind victory. |
