County Meet

Drew was the only Holly Bronchos athlete to participate in the Oakland County Middle School Track & Field Championships in the shot put event. Although he knew it was a longshot to place in today's meet, he also knew it was an honor to be chosen and was going to represent the Bronchos as best as he could.

Drew took three throws today. This first was a fault, as he stepped on the toe board. His next throw was a not-impressive put of 22'-4", as it appeared that nerves were getting the best of him. His final throw today was the best of his three, reaching a distance 29'-3". While this was far from his personal best, it would place him in the 33rd spot amongst all throwers, and 4th if you only count 7th graders.

Even though he didn't throw great today, we are proud of Drew for stepping out of his comfort zone and trying something new, settling in, and having a lot of fun. Great job Drew!
