Jayden and her Purple Heart teammates returned to the field after a two week hiatus, looking to maintain the form that got them to this point of the season with an undefeated record. Although Jay didn't have a great day at the plate, the rest of the team didn't seem to have any issues with the layoff.

After holding Hartland scoreless in the opening inning, the Holly girls got off to a slow start as well. They scored just a single run in the inning, and Jay didn't get an at-bat.

The Holly girls once again kept Hartland scoreless in the second inning, but this time they came out with their bats ablaze. Jayden would come up to bat with the bases loaded, but she would go down swinging for the first out of the inning. After that, Holly would score the maximum 5 runs, bringing the inning to an end.

Hartland was held scoreless for the third straight inning, but they were also able to limit the damage to just two Holly runs during their half of the inning. Jayden would end up being the third out, striking out looking at a questionable third strike.

Once again the Purple Heart girls kept Hartland scoreless in the fourth and final inning, and for reasons I am not sure of the Holly squad took their at-bats. They would score three runs with one out to make it an 11-0 score, and that was when the game would end.

Congratulations to the Jayden and her Holly Purple Heart teammates for moving on the championship game on Thursday!
