Game 3

Jayden and her '06 Liverpool FC teammates hit the field once again, this time for their third indoor game of the season, facing off against the TSC Pumas from Troy. For the first part of the game the Liverpool girls controlled the play, and they even managed to score their first goal at the 23 minute mark, which also gave them their first lead of the season as well. After the goal the two teams seemed to march up and down the field, with neither team really getting any quality looks. It wasn't until there was 10 minutes left in the half, when TSC set up an attack, that either team got a chance. Unfortunately for the Liverpool girls TSC was able to convert, tying the game up at 1-1. That would remain the score as the two teas headed to halftime.

The second half saw the Liverpool girls dominate the action for the majority of the time. They managed to regain their lead with a goal that was part good kick and part goalie misplay. Just two minutes later the Liverpool girls struck again, this time off of a line drive shot that soared over the TSC goalie's head and into the top corner of the net. That shot gave Liverpool a 3-1 lead. It took a while before the next goal was scored, but it was once again off of a Liverpool players foot, thanks in part to the TSC goalie coming out too far to to try and play the ball. That shot gave Liverpool a 4-1 lead, one that would stand until the final whistle blew. The victory was their first of the indoor season, and hopefully will lead to any more!
