Family Gift Exchange

Home Up

December 25th, 2019

For the past few years our kids have been drawing names to exchange gifts with each other, as opposed to having to but a gift for each kid. Last year Rose and Derek were included, and this year we roped Donovan and Marissa into our gift exchange game. Below are some pictures from our gift unwrapping...

Family Gift Exchange

Tyler was the first one to get to open his gift exchange present, which came from Jayden this year...

...and part of it was a set of rope lights for his place in Germany.

Tyler got to open another gift from Jay...

...which turned out to be a rechargeable battery for his video game controllers.

Derek was up next, with his gift from coming from Tyler...

...and turned out to be an Oktoberfest stein filled with candy and snacks from Germany!

Rose got to follow, as she was able to open her gift from Derek...

...which ended up being a new pair of earrings...

...and a necklace, which she was proud to show off.

Next it was Marissa's turn to open her gift from Rose.

One of Marissa's gifts was a planner and pens...

...while the other was a new curling iron!

Next it was Jayden's turn, as she opened the present that she received from Marissa...

...part of which was a message letting her know that her gift was "on its way"...

...and the other part of her present was a "Fred" inflatable toy (also known as one of those stand-up waving inflatable advertising guys).

Donovan's was up next, opening his gift from Samantha.

First he opened some parts for one of his still unopened gifts...

...before moving on to the larger item...

...which turned out to be a mirror and funny socks!

Next up was Drew, as he opened up his gift from Donovan.

Drew got a very large bag of Sour Patch Kids and a rechargeable battery pack for his game controller (yet unopened in this picture).

Last but not least, Samantha had her chance to open her gifts from Drew.

Her first gift was a "Date Night" frame with a few dollars to start the fund.

Then she opened her favorite candy, Sweet Tart Ropes - Sour Apple!

Her last gift was a Ramen t-shirt since Ramen is one of her favorite meals!

We had one last gift to open, though this one wasn't part of our gift exchange. Derek got Rodney a very special gift...

Rodney's Gift From Derek

Rodney opening his gift from Derek, a pair of socks that said "Selective Hearing Specialist"! Ha!
