May 16th

Today it was just Grandpa Gary, Grandma Terry, Aunt Erica, and Rodney that were going to visit Walt Disney World. Our first stop this morning was at Disney Springs, with the intention of looking for the new Series 2 Disney Lego minifigures. We were able to find a few, and Grandma Terry was able to get her bracelet cleaned at the Pandora shop as well. Our only other stop at Disney Springs was at the Ghirardelli store for a free chocolate sample! Next stop, Epcot!

Our first theme park stop during this trip to Walt Disney World was at Epcot. We made a brief detour to Mouse Gear to pick up our passholder magnets before making our way to the World Showcase. We decided that with no kids in tow, we could visit the countries and enjoy the rides and shows without any complaints of boredom.

We decided to stop at the Mexico pyramid to go on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, as Aunt Erica had never been on it. While not my favorite ride (it could use a Coco movie re-theming or something), it was worth going just so she could experience it too.

After Mexico we made our way to Norway, where we waited in line for the Frozen Ever After ride. As before, this ride was quite enjoyable (well, except for the Olaf whose eyes weren't quite working).

The next stop on our world tour was China, where we took in the Circle-Vision 360 show Reflections of China.

We had planned to see the O Canada! show at the Canada pavilion, but we decided that we didn't want to wait for it to begin, and instead made our way out of the park so that we could head to the Magic Kingdom.

After a long morning and afternoon at Disney Springs and Epcot, it was time to head to the Magic Kingdom. Our first stop here was to fill our bellies, which we accomplished at Casey's Corner, where we learned that they no longer have the foot-long hot dogs that we ate the last time we were here.

After eating, it was time to enjoy some rides. Our first stop was Pirates of the Caribbean. We then moved on to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland. Next we headed across the park to Tomorrowland to take in the Carousel of Progress. Before calling it a day, we went on the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Shockingly, Grandma Terry got the highest score of the four of us, followed by Grandpa Gary, me, then Aunt Erica.

It has been a long day to this point, so we decided to head home after our gaming session with Buzz. We were able to catch a bit of the fireworks show as we left the park and rode the boat back to the Ticket and Transportation Center.

All in all a great day, and I can't wait to do it again!
