Today's game between Jayden's Tampa Dynamo team and the Cape
Coral Soccer Cyclone got off to a bad start for the Dynamo girls,
and went downhill from there. The Cyclone scored on the very first
shot on goal, as a loooong distance kick deflected off the Dynamo
keepers hands and trickled in to the net, making it 1-0 early on.
Jayden got angry with a girl a short while after that goal, and
earned her first Yellow Card of the season for giving a girl a bit
of a shove following a battle for the ball. The Cyclone would widen
their lead following the water break by converting on a penalty
kick, making it a 2-0 game. The lead would move to 3-0 a short while
later after the Dynamo keeper came out to challenge the shot, but
had the ball get under her legs and into the goal once more. Jayden
managed the lone Tampa Dynamo shot on goal of the half, which was
followed moments later by the final goal of the half, which came
from on a nice cross pass that resulted in a kick that went under
the diving Dynamo keeper.
Not much went right for the Dynamo in the second half - they
didn't manage any shots on goal, and it seemed like almost every
shot that the Cyclone took ended up in the back of the net. In what
felt like the blink of an eye they were scoring multiple goals, and
the game got so out of reach that it was neither fun for the girls
to play nor fun for the parents to watch. By the time the final
whistle blew, the score was 11-0 in favor of the Cyclone. |
