Game #8

The first half was dominated by Plant City, both in their offensive zone and on the scoreboard. The first PC goal came on a long, high kick that sailed over the Dynamo keeper and into the top opposite corner of the goal - a nice kick, for certain. It took a while (through the second water break), but Plant City would add to their lead with another long high kick over the Dynamo keeper, which came following a pass to a wide open player, making it a 2-0 game. Before halftime Plant City would add another goal on another long kick, once again on a shot that was over the outstretched arms of the Tampa keeper.

The Dynamo played better in the second half, but a trip in the box resulted in a fourth goal for Plant City thanks to the ensuing penalty kick. Following the first water break of the half, Plant City would add to their lead after beating the defense but sneaking the ball through the goalkeepers legs on a shot that probably should have been saved. Mistakes happen, and at this point there was no real damage done other than expanding the score to 5-0. A second penalty in the box resulted in another penalty kick for Plant City, this time on what I believe was called a hand ball. That would be the final goal of the game, making the score 6-0 when the final whistle blew.
