Passholder previews are underway for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disney's Magic Kingdom. This process was different from the previous rides that we got to preview, as this one required a reservation to the park, and then you had to try for the virtual queue. This is more like the process for TRON Lightcycle / Run and for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as opposed to registering for a specific time slot like we had before. Unfortunately, we weren't able to secure a reservation for Magic Kingdom, which eliminated us from the 7:00am virtual queue attempt. Thankfully we still had the 1:00pm queue to try to join, and in a departure from the other rides, we didn't even have to be in the park to get into the 1:00pm queue.

With that out of the way, our first stop today was at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Grandma Terry, Uncle Steven, Aunt Erica, Samantha, Jayden and I all headed to the park (after a long drive in rush hour traffic). The first thing that we did was head to guest services to ask some questions about the new Disability Access Service (DAS). I had gone through the process of getting Steve his pass, but obviously our party had changed since our video chat. Though the cast member who was helping us did the best that he could, he was limited by Disney in what they are able to do for us, and unfortunately we weren't able to get answers today. Hopefully things get a bit easier in the future.

We split up after leaving guest services, with Grandma Terry and Erica going off in search of the new Toy Story Pizza Planet truck that I was seeking during our visit, as well as the new Slinky Dog sipper for me. Steve, Sam, Jay, and I headed off to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. We enjoyed every minute of our ride, and whether it was true or not, it felt as though we experienced more ups and downs during this ride as during previous trips. It was definitely a good time!

After our ride, we met at the Sunset Ranch Market. I stopped at the Hollywood Scoops to get the Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae so that Grandma Terry could complete her set with the Mickey Kitchen Sink she has at home. Sam also bought a boba drink, though I didn't catch what kind or where she got it. She proceeded to shoot the boba balls like paint balls through her straw, nailing Jay in the chest, and winging Steve once as well. She also got Jay in the nostril as we made our way to the car a short while later.

Speaking of the car, after we finished our ice cream we decided that we were going to head over to Disney's Magic Kingdom to try for the Tiana's Bayou Adventure virtual queue, as well as the virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run. You can read about the remainder of our day below...

After our short visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios, we made the drive over to the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there we hopped on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Upon entering the park, we wandered through the Emporium to do so shopping and to wait for the queues to open up for Tiana's Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run. We did have a 50-50 success rate, as we didn't manage to get into Tiana, though we did for Tron. In all honesty, I doubt that they actually opened up the queue for Tiana, as the ride had been down all day to that point. This was disappointing for us, as that was the entire reason for our trip to Walt Disney World today. Oh well, now to enjoy our day...

Once we wrapped up our shopping, we placed an order for lunch at Casey's Corner, except for Erica, who grabbed a salad from Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café. Sam, Jay, and I picked up the order from Casey's while Grandma Terry, Erica, and Steven headed over to Cosmic Ray's to find a table. Grandma Terry, Steve, and I all had hot dogs, while the girls tried out the corn dog nuggets (which, while they were ok, weren't a favorite with them).

After lunch we headed over to Fantasyland to ride the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train. Unfortunately, because we had used the Disability Access Service (DAS) for this ride, only four of us were able to go, and the cast members at the entrance weren't going to let the others join us. We all enjoyed this ride, though Jayden was a little hoarse after screaming at the top of her lungs the entire time!

We were off towards Liberty Square and Frontierland next, making a pit-stop at Memento Mori near the Haunted Mansion. Inside of Memento Mori, there is a painting of Madam Leota that you can interact with. If you knock on the painting and get a response, you are able to ask her yes/no questions and she will respond to them. The painting eventually lit up as well. We moved on after asking several questions, and while passing through Liberty Square we decided to go for a ride on the Liberty Square Riverboat boat ride. We took in some nice views of Frontierland, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Haunted Mansion.

Once we had completed our boat ride, we headed back to Frontierland to get a return time for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. While we waited for our callback time, we decided to make the round trip on the Walt Disney World Railroad. We had a pretty uneventful ride on the train, which meant that we had a good ride! When we got back to Frontierland, it was time for us to climb aboard the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Once again, we had a blast, though this time it was our ears hurting after listing to Jay's (intentional) screams.

Our boarding group was getting close for TRON Lightcycle / Run, so we began making our way to Tomorrowland. Samantha and Jayden decided that they wanted a Dole Whip, so they took a quick detour over to Aloha Isle to get their frozen treat. Erica had ordered a Mickey Waffle with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread and Bananas from Sleepy Hollow. While the two groups of girls were off getting their snacks, Steve and I grabbed a seat in front of the Liberty Tree Tavern. While waiting there, we were greeted by Terrence Shaker, a character from the Country Bear Jamboree. He spent some time with Steve, which was cool experience.

After meeting back up, we continued our walk to Tomorrowland. As we passed by, I decided that it was my turn for a treat, and I got my Magic Kingdom favorite - pizza spring rolls from the Spring Roll Snack Cart. It was at this time that our group was called for for TRON Lightcycle / Run, so made our way to the entrance of the ride. As always, this was a thrilling experience and one we wish we could do again.

Unfortunately, at this point we were getting kind of worn out from the early start to our day and the heat, so we decided to call it a day. We made our way back to the car following a ride on the monorail once again (only after enduring a brief wait because the monorail doors wouldn't properly close). On our way home, we once again found ourselves at Chili's for dinner.

All in all, a great day with my amazing family. I definitely look forward to it again! Until next time!
