Thursday, March 14th, 2024

After finishing up our time on Living with the Land, we decided to head back across the park to the Odyssey Pavilion for a stop at The Citrus Blossom, where Jayden got a Lemon Meringue Pie (lemon curd, lemon mousse and toasted meringue) and Tara got a Key Lime Wine Slush.

We then headed back to the World Showcase. Our first stop was the Mexico pavilion, where we went for a ride on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros boat ride. This is one ride I really wish would get some Disney intellectual property in the form of the Movie Coco. Although I enjoy the Three Caballeros themed ride, I think the movie itself is extremely dated, and the Coco setting just makes too much sense. Plus, Coco is criminally under-represented in the parks.

Continuing our walk around the showcase, we made a quick pit stop in China to buy Drew a new bamboo rice hat (he determined that it would be great for his frat house). We also stopped at the Refreshment Outpost to get some treats. Jayden went with a Seasonal Fruit Parfait (with sweet chili sauce and mango DOLE Whip), while Tara opted to get the tangerine soft-serve ice cream. Drew decided to wait for his snack, until we got to the Italy pavilion, where he got Chocolate Cannoli (which is a chocolate-covered cannoli shell with peanut butter-ricotta filling).

Since Drew got his hat as a souvenir, Jay wanted one of her own. We found a stand that was selling Jellycat stuffed animals. Although I have no idea what the allure to this particular collectible is, but Jay was really excited to get this.

We did make one last stop, this time at the Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana walk-through attraction. This is one that I had wanted to try out at nighttime, so we waited as long as we could before visiting today. It is definitely a different feel as you walk through, though I think it is harder to pick up the "hidden" details that are found throughout the attraction. After completing our walk through of Moana, we headed off to the monorail to make a quick trip to the Magic Kingdom to exchange the ring that Jayden got the other day for one in a smaller size...

We took the monorail from Epcot to Disney's Transportation & Ticket Center to switch over to the Magic Kingdom monorail. We arrived at the park just as the fireworks show was starting, so we decided to split up. Jayden and I took off at breakneck speed to exchange the ring, while Tara and Drew waiting outside underneath the Walt Disney World Railroad. Thankfully Jay and I were able to complete our task before the fireworks ended, so we were able to catch the monorail back to the Transportation & Ticket Center to change once again and head back to Epcot.

We said goodbye to the parks for the final time, heading back to our condo for one last night.

Although we all had a great time this week, I think that we all agree that we won't be planning another trip during the weeks around spring break!

Drew wanted to spend more time taking advantage of the various PhotoPass opportunities around the park during this trip, and I have decided to post those photos here at the end of my pictures. Here are a few that we were able to take advantage of today for you to enjoy!
