When I got home from work this afternoon I opened the garage
door to find this little fellow laying on the floor near the big
door. I wasn't sure if he (or she, but because I don't know we are
going with the generic "he") was alive or not, but it woke up and
scurried around a bit. We didn't pick it up, but we scooted it into
a box while we decided what to do with it. Jayden and I assumed that
he probably lost his mom during the hurricane. After unsuccessfully
trying to call a couple of rescues, we eventually decided that
taking care of this little fellow would be too much for us. We set
him free in the yard, opting to let nature take its course in either
survival or... well, lets hope for survival! |

We tried to give the little fellow some water in a bottle cap...

|
...but it seemed too tired to try to drink.

He eventually got up and scurried around a bit in the garage...

...and approached Jayden and her friends.

He eventually passed back out, sprawled out on the cool garage
floor...

We took him out into the yard, and he kept climbing on Rodney's
shoes...
