Tyler invited me to go fishing with him this morning, and though
I wasn't excited by the early wake-up time required, I was more than
happy to spend some time with him doing something that he loves to
do - fish! We made the drive down to the Deckers Boat Ramp Access
- Michigan DNR on the North Channel of the St. Clair River, putting
the boat in the water before sunrise. As we made our way through the
channel and into Anchor Bay itself, we got to witness a beautiful
sunrise. Tyler's current goal while fishing is to catch a muskie,
but alas, today was not our day. We did make an early catch, nabbing
a walleye on one of our early passes across the bay. Unfortunately,
that would turn out to be it. We tried various locations across the
bay, and we also fished the North Channel a bit as well, before we
decided to call it a day.
We planned on meeting up with Drew and his friends who were
already on Woodward for the 30th Woodward Dream Cruise, along with
Tara, who was coming from the house in Burton, but we needed a spot
to park the boat. Thankfully Tara's Aunt Sue was located nearby, and
was willing to let us park the boat in her yard for a few hours
while we headed off to enjoy the cruise. Thank you Sue! |
